【Important】Change of The Report of Absence Due to COVID-19 (May 10, 2023)
Since May 8th 2023, COVID-19 has been considered as a Class 5 infectious disease, the same as the seasonal flu, etc. Accordingly, the process for reporting your absence from classes or exams has also been changed. For details, please check the University website below.

The Japanese Language Placement Test is mandatory in order to register for courses such as “Japanese Language Course”, “Lecture Courses in Japanese Studies” and “Lecture Courses in International Studies”, regardless of your Japanese level.

Final Report and Final Examination information for the Spring 2026 Semester
Dear ILA Students,
Final assessments (Final Report and Final Examination) are held from July 18. The PDF below contains important notices regarding final assessments. Please check them carefully. Please note that “Final Examination” is an examination held from July 18(Sat) to July 31(Fri), the final examination period at Doshisha University. For questions regarding evaluations held during regular class period (until July 17), please consult with the respective course instructor first.

DUET
There are two ways to log in to DUET: using the Web Single Sign-On Service or logging in directly to DUET. However, due to the system replacement (scheduled on or after August 16), only the way of using Web Single Sign-on Service will be available. After entering your user ID and password at the Web Single Sign-On Service, please log in to DUET via Multi-factor authentication.

From AY2024, university fee remittance from overseas bank account has been replaced by credit card payment or Easy-pay(online banking). If you wish to pay the fees by credit card or online banking, please apply from below. *If you are not able to use the system, please consult with the ILA office.
A tuition payment slip will be sent to your registered address in Japan in the beginning of semester. If you have changed your address, please contact the ILA office.

The ILA Degree Ceremony September 2026

The ILA will hold Degree Ceremony for September 2026 at Doshisha Chapel from 12:00 on Saturday, September 26.
Please note that the Doshisha University Graduation Ceremony will take place at 10:00 on the same day at Kambaikan.
